It’s been a good salmon season on the Salmon River despite the drought conditions we’ve had this year. Regardless of the low water levels, the fish came! Clients had a great time and some beautiful salmon were caught using traditional fly fishing methods.
Now it’s time to think about Steelhead and Brown Trout. As the seasons change, so do the tactics. For fly fishing, I teach traditional fly and spey style fishing. For spin, I teach drift and float, using spin tackle. To know the tips and methods to become successful, is what people hire me for. And now, something new this season….I am reducing the daily rate for guiding services. From November 1st 2007, to April 30th 2008, my daily fee will only be $150/person, per day!
I will provide you with a quality day of fishing along with a riverside lunch, and if needed, rods/reels/flies/baits and materials. Please bear in mind this is only for weekends for the rest of this season, through spring of 2008.
The number of Steelhead has been increasing over the years primarily due to the 1 fish 21″ size limit for the river. Recruitment has been high and we’ve enjoyed fantastic fishing from past seasons. This year looks even better! Looking to get a few hard-fighting silver freight trains on your line? Need to see beautifully colored huge brown trout slam your presentation? Give me a call or e-mail and book a trip now!
